Tuning ASO sweeps

The ASO agent sweeps your keyword field, title, and subtitle against live search volume and competitor metadata to find ranking gaps. A few settings keep those sweeps useful and stop them from over-editing.

What a sweep does

Each sweep scores your current metadata against search volume, difficulty, and what competitors rank for. It looks for keywords you are leaving on the table, terms you are wasting characters on, and title or subtitle phrasings that would capture more intent.

Set cadence and scope

  1. 1
    Open the ASO agent

Go to Agents, open ASO, then its settings.

  2. 2
    Pick a cadence

Weekly or biweekly. Biweekly is the sane default for a live app.

  3. 3
    Choose locales

Select the storefronts the agent should sweep. Start with your top revenue markets.

  4. 4
    Protect keywords

Add brand terms or hard-won rankings to the protected list so the agent never proposes dropping them.

Reading sweep output

  • Keyword opportunities with volume and difficulty scores
  • Title and subtitle rewrites that widen intent coverage
  • Locale gaps where a market's metadata is under-optimized

Don't over-edit

Metadata has inertia

Every metadata change resets ranking momentum and ties the update to an App Review cycle. Sweeping weekly and shipping every suggestion will hurt you. Treat the agent as a shortlist, not a mandate, and let changes settle before the next edit.
